Exosomes Aftercare.
Thank-you for visiting the clinic today. Please read this information carefully and contact the clinic if you have any questions or concerns.
This aftercare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, improve your comfort and healing, and help achieve the best possible results from treatment.
Your skin has just undergone a controlled regenerative treatment designed to support skin remodelling. The healing process is an important part of your results, so following these aftercare instructions will help your skin recover as comfortably as possible.
What to Expect
Over the coming days you may experience:
Warmth similar to mild sunburn.
Redness.
Swelling, particularly around the eyes.
A bronzed or coffee-ground appearance as the skin begins to heal.
Dryness, tightness and light flaking.
These are expected responses and will gradually improve as your skin heals.
The First 4 Days
For the first four days after your treatment, keep your skincare routine extremely simple.
The only product you should apply is:
Mesoestetic HA Densimatrix
This provides lightweight hydration while allowing your skin to heal without unnecessary irritation.
Do not use:
Cleansers containing active ingredients.
Retinol or vitamin A products.
AHAs, BHAs or exfoliating acids.
Vitamin C serums.
Physical exfoliants or scrubs.
Facial brushes or cleansing devices.
Avoid picking, scratching or peeling any flaking skin, as this may interfere with healing.
Days 5–7
From Day 5, continue using:
Mesoestetic HA Densimatrix
Mesoestetic Melan Recovery Balm
The Melan Recovery Balm provides additional comfort, hydration and skin barrier support as your skin continues to recover.
Continue to avoid active skincare ingredients until Day 7.
After Day 7
Once seven days have passed and your skin has healed well, you may gradually return to your normal skincare routine, including your regular active products, unless otherwise advised by your clinician.
If your skin is still sensitive or healing, please contact Future Face Clinics before reintroducing active ingredients.
Sun Protection
Sun protection is essential following NeoGen Plasma.
Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every day.
Reapply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors.
Wear a wide-brim hat and sunglasses where possible.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure during the healing period.
Freshly treated skin is more vulnerable to UV damage, which may increase the risk of unwanted pigmentation.
For the First Week
Please avoid:
Excessive exercise that causes heavy sweating for the first 24–48 hours.
Saunas, steam rooms and hot spas.
Swimming pools and ocean swimming until your skin has healed.
Waxing, laser treatments or other facial procedures on the treated area.
Makeup until your clinician advises it is appropriate or until the skin surface has sufficiently healed.
Downtime:
Up to 24hrs, some redness immediately after and minor swelling may occur due to the treatment. Infection is a potential risk and you need to be aware of the signs and symptoms so you can contact your healthcare provider immediately:
Signs of infection can vary but may include:
Increased pain or tenderness: While some discomfort is normal after the procedure, persistent or worsening pain at the injection site could be a sign of infection.
Swelling: Swelling is common after treatment but if it worsens or becomes increasingly localised, it could indicate an infection.
Redness: Mild redness at the site is normal, but if it spreads beyond the immediate area or becomes more intense, it may indicate an infection.
Heat or warmth: The skin may feel warmer than usual, which can be a sign of inflammation or infection.
Pus or discharge: Any discharge or drainage from the skin, particularly if it is thick, yellow, or green, may indicate an infection.
Fever: A fever is a common sign of infection. If you develop a fever after treatment, especially if accompanied by other symptoms, it's essential to seek medical attention promptly.
Increased swelling or red streaks: If you notice significant increases in swelling or red streaks extending from the injection site, it could indicate an infection spreading through the lymphatic system.
Delayed onset of symptoms: While it's normal to experience some swelling and redness immediately after treatment, if these symptoms worsen or appear several days after the procedure, it could indicate an infection.
If you experience any of these symptoms after treatment, it's crucial to contact your healthcare provider promptly. Infections can be serious and may require medical treatment, including antibiotics or drainage of any abscesses. Early recognition and treatment of an infection can help prevent complications and promote optimal healing.
You must seek emergency medical attention if you experience any severe allergy symptoms after treatment. Symptoms may include rash, facial swelling, and breathing difficulties.
Contact your practitioner as soon as possible if you notice any other unwanted side effects. Your practitioner will advise when further treatment appointments are required.
If you are advised to attend a follow-up appointment, please make every effort to attend them. You should do this even if you believe that the recovery process is going well, and you cannot see that there are any visible complications.
Number of treatments required: We suggest up to 3 treatments for best results.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, please contact your treating doctor and clinic immediately.
